Looking for a new lunch spot?

My new favorite spot is Noli, located in the 5th Street Marketplace. Noli is Italian Bistro style food, the prices are moderate about $15-$25 per person, the menu is creative and packed full of choices. My favorite dish is the Rosemary Chicken Breast Sandwich, it is served on focaccia bread and includes grilled chicken with rosemary, spring greens, and sweet red pepper relish. They also have pasta and salads. The service is relatively quick so this would be perfect for someone who has an hour break for lunch during the day. Try it out sometime, you will want to go back!

Vegas anyone???

I know what you are thinking....didn't this chick just promise me a local review of restaurants, why is she writing about Vegas? Well let me explain, I was in Vegas with my boyfriend about 2 weeks ago over the 4th of July. This dinning experience was what actually made me realize that I wanted to blog about food. I said to my boyfriend "this dinner is so good I should tell someone" and here we are. The restaurant is called craftsteak located in the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. It is classified as business casual online, but this food is anything but casual when it's kicking your taste buds up a notch to say "is this what my steak is supposed to taste like?". It is a far cry from the Roadhouse that we are used to.
Let's start out by saying this place is expensive compared to what we are accustom to here. Everything on the menu is priced separately, your pay for your salad, you pay for your meat, you pay for your side dishes individually, basically creating the perfect meal for you. I had a rib-eye 16oz (not a small piece of meat) and I have told everyone who wants to listen that this was the best rib-eye I have ever had. My boyfriend got the surf and turf, Fillet Mignon and Lobster. The best part was that the waiter (who was awesome) told us that we did not need to get a lot of side dishes since they are big enough for 2 people, had we not known this we would have ordered way too much expensive food. So we ate Yukon Gold potatoes and asparagus, and there was still some left over after sharing. The drinks were good, the atmosphere was very nice, cozy and personal, the service staff were great. All in all a fantastic dinning experience we both left very pleased. The total damage was about $150.00 but worth every penny. So if you are in Vegas and wondering where is a good place where the food is fantastic and not too expensive, I recommend craftsteak.
